Nothing. It was a dismal experience!
Staff coldness. Noisey business men on phones. The view of the carpark.
The location was just what we required.
Typical business hotel quit noisy.
A really lovely Hotel in all aspects, so convenient for town yet situated in rural area, best of both worlds. I have stayed here many times and have never been dissapointed. A really top drawer hotel at affordable prices. rooms spotlessley clean, and the staff very friendly.
breakfast is good and bed is comfortable.
internet connection is poor and you have to pay for that.
You know your getting a good quality, clean room with Holiday Inn and the location was key to the event I was attending.
It's next to the m3 and breakfast is rather over priced at £20 extra
Having to pay for internet connection!!! What justifies the cost, when other places provide it free?
The friendly & helpful staff, the excellent breakfast which was fresh and plentiful.
I found the pillows hard - and that is the only thing that I was unhappy with.
Generally it was ok but ....
Booked.net details clearly stated under Room Details " This air- conditioned room ......" Our booking special requests stated clearly "Twin room with air-conditioning" but there was none available , upon asking why, the receptionist said he had spoken to the maintenance dept and no air-con was allowed to be switched on in any rooms ? We feel let down being loyal Holiday Inn Priority Club members ( I dont think points were added either ? ) having made every effort to ensure we had air con ,we could have saved £15 by booking the Hilton a few yards away .Disappointed and annoyed at lame excuse for simple request.
Found the other guests to be exceptionally noisy and inconsiderate of others; yelling out to each other from one of the hallway to the other. Didn't think the room service menu was exceptional. Couldn't get through to room service and had reception take my order. Prompt delivery of meal, but it wasn't anything special.
Friendly and helpful staff at reception, bar and restaurant.
Bed a little hard. You can hear people moving around on the floor above. Having to pay for a full breakfast even if you only want tea and toast.
Paid for executive double - got a shoebox. Basic and not good value for money paid. Would not book here again
The staff were really helpful and room great- bath I would come back if I got a bargain through booking dot.com - would never pay the full amount as situation not good area and would require car and bathroom should be perfect. General friendliness / helpfulness of staff takes some beating and bed and pillows great!
Bathroom not as finished as room needed tlc and situation on a council estate also requires car for Basingstoke and nothing else around.
We stayed on a Saturday night - unfortunately the walls of the room were paper thin and the hotel was extremely noisy - people running up and down corridors at 2am, the people in the room next to us had friends in their room until 3.30am. They weren't particularly noisy, but the walls were so thin we could here every word as well as anyone passing in the corridor outside. I'm sure it's fine during the week - sadly at the weekend I think it's used by wedding guests and party goers in town...
Clean, tidy, comfortable. Easy to find and conveniently located for the town.
Room was stuffy. Ground floor so couldn't open a window and I couldn't seem to adjust the climate control so as to make it comfortable. Good sound insulation between rooms, but you could hear everything going on in the corridors. Not pleasant when you get a couple of parties coming in late at night, possibly drunk but certainly foul mouthed.
I felt at ease travelling alone. There was a local shop within walking distance. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Quick and efficient service.
Having to carry my case up the stairs. Although only one flight, if you had a lot of luggage or were an elderly person it would have been a struggle. No porter was offered.
